Here’s Dawn to talk about the crackers “Julie and I attend a monthly quilting group, so when our quilting friend Jeanette offered to show us how to make reusable Christmas crackers we jumped at the chance, and the opportunity to use some of the gorgeous Liberty quilting weight fabrics.”

“We needed less than a fat quarter of the outer fabric, and the same for the lining, so these crackers would be a great way to use up some of your stash. At this time of year, Alice is always on the lookout for festive makes for the blog so we decided to use some fabrics from the Alice Caroline studio. Julie used Tumbling Baubles from the new Deck the Halls Liberty quilting collection and I went for Wiltshire Gold.”

“Jeanette has devised the brilliant pattern which uses Bosal fabric stiffener to give the crackers some body and stops them from flopping – no one wants a floppy cracker on their festive table! 😁”

“We are really pleased with the finished result and just need to find some little gifts or chocolates to pop inside. Julie has already made more crackers for her daughter, and we are both planning to make more to give as gifts. Big thanks to Jeanette for her clever pattern and her patience in showing us how to make them. Sending festive wishes to you all – Julie and Dawn xxxx”
