With the dash and rush of Christmas ahead, I’ve decided to give you some sweet festive projects for my Liberty 12 Days of Christmas. I’ll bring you a new crafting or sewing idea for the first 12 days of December which hopefully will relieve some of the stress that people sometimes feel at this time of year.
Over the next 12 days I will have a different project to inspire. These include a Liberty fabric chain, stocking bunting and a sweet Liberty fairy.
Liberty fabric works in so many ways for the craft project of your choice. For the project today I’ve simply bought the paper mâché letters that spell noel and covered them in Liberty scraps of fabric.
Here’s how to make them:
Step 1: Buy your paper mâché shapes or letters, PVA glue and Liberty scraps.
Step 2: Cut the fabric scraps into small random pieces. The right size depends on the size of your shape or letter.
Step 3: Glue the cut pieces of fabric onto the bauble making sure you use lots of glue. It’s fine to cover over the top of the fabric with glue as it dries clear. Cover the whole shape with the different fabrics.
Step 4: Let them dry overnight and use to decorate your home.
Done – so easy and fun!
