Liberty Kimono Dressing Gown

I’m super excited about sharing this ‘Liberty Kimono Dressing Gown’ sewing project with you!  This is one of my favourite fabrics from the newest Liberty of London autumn / winter collection and so the perfect choice for me to sew with.  I’m also really excited to tell you that it’s been in Simply Sewing magazine – hurray!

I’ve used one of  the wonderful new collection fabrics to create this beautiful Kimono style dressing gown which I think you will love.  This gorgeous fabric ‘Peony Pavillion’ has been chosen for Liberty by fashion designer Anna Sui.  Anna’s famous fashion collections take you on a creative journey, mixing vintage styles with current cultural obsessions, effortlessly creating hip and original clothes.  I have used it here to create a contemporary and stylish dressing gown.

This was such fun to make.  I loved working with the oriental fabric chosen by Anna.  It’s so inspiring to make something that has connections with such a fantastic designer.  It follows a great pattern from ‘And Sew to Bed’ by Caro London, and the result will make you want to curl up on the sofa decked in Liberty of London.

I’m hoping that this will inspire you to make something from lovely Liberty fabric!  If ‘Peony Pavillion’ isn’t your style of fabric then I’ve got just a bit more of it to choose from on my website here…  over 350 fabrics so happy hunting!
