Anna has made this super stylish Liberty Kimono Jacket using a gorgeous Liberty silk. This jacket is perfect for a summer evening out. It can be worn with jeans to create a casual yet smart look. The shine and drape of the fabric really makes the garment shimmer and hang really beautifully.
The fabric: It’s called Juno’s Feather and is silk satin which drapes fabulously with a luminous high shine. It’s edged with some silk left over from another project in a rather pretty colour. If this silk isn’t to your taste then there are other Liberty silks too.
The Liberty Kimono Jacket pattern: This jacket was made using a Simplicity pattern number 1318, view D. There are lots of pattern available so do shop around to find the perfect one for you. It’s really easy to make with 4 main pattern pieces. The facing takes a little bit of time to match up but, is again, really simple.
I hope this inspires you to make something beautiful using Liberty fabric.
