Lovely Lin from the studio has used some of our Liberty sample swatch packs to upcycle a jacket that was sitting in her wardrobe. It looks fabulous! Here’s Lin to tell you about her project:
“I’ve had a quilted jacket in my wardrobe for quite a while that I wasn’t wearing as it felt very dated. I often thought I would like to cover it in a nice fabric and when I saw Lara doing some patchwork in the studio, it inspired me.”
“When the Liberty Samples started arriving, I thought it was a great opportunity to try patchwork on my jacket. I decided to go with a strip design.”
“I removed the lining and unpicked the jacket and placed the sample pieces against each section of the jacket. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I sewed the patchwork pieces together and then sewed them to the original jacket pieces. I them reassembled the jacket, slipped the lining back on and job done!”
