Nicki from the studio has been busy making these luxurious Liberty pyjama bottoms from our new Exclusive Mint Meadow collection. Liberty Tana Lawn is the perfect fabric for pyjamas as it’s super soft! Nicki tells us about her make:
“Having coveted some gorgeous Liberty Tana Lawn pyjamas online for nearly £250, I decided I would try to make some (or at least the trousers, as I prefer to sleep in a t-shirt) myself. It was such a simple and easy project, even given the fact that I chose a fabric with an obvious stripe (Strawberry Thief Wild Mint) which I then felt compelled to try to line up!”
“I found a free pyjama pattern by The Assembly Line, which I had to modify as it was designed for side seams, and I wanted to make these as cost-effectively as possible, using just one width of fabric. No side seams meant a little ironing and just five seams: one for the front and back crotch, one for the inside legs, one for the waist and one for each leg hem. Sadly no side seams did mean I had to forgo the pockets and contrast trim, which I had considered adding, but nonetheless these are the softest PJ trousers I own, are exactly the right length for me and cost a fraction of the price of my coveted pair!”
