Little Land of Rhyme Liberty Collection

I’ve been waiting for this lovely Little Land of Rhyme Liberty collection for a while now and it’s finally arrived in the studio.  I have been desperate to show you the collection for ages and now I can – hurray!  It’s so unbelievably cute.

The inspiration for the collection is old fashioned nursery rhymes such as ‘The House that Jack Built’ or ‘Mary Mary Quite Contrary’.   The designs are brightly flowered fields, friendly farmyard animals, beautiful garden scenes and sweet little details like watering cans.

This lovely new Little Land of Rhyme Liberty Collection is a playful set of 16 original Liberty designs for childrenswear and quilting which has been inspired by much loved children’s nursery rhymes.  Although it’s been designed for childrenswear, the collection has some perfect fabrics for quilting too.  The tiny detail on some of the florals are great for quilting and there are some really sweet details that would look so pretty on a cot or lap quilt.

I’ve created some scrummy fat quarter selections from the collection – you can look at them here.

I’ve started making from the lovely fabrics – check out my first quilt block from the collection.  I LOVE the cute farmyard animals on the pale background.  This Farmyard Tails fabric has cats, dogs, chickens, geese and cows surrounded by corn heads.

The centrepiece of the quilt block is Royal Oak House based on a cute English cottage surrounded by fields of colourful crops and trees.  I’ve also used Poppy’s Meadow, Goosey Gladrags, Feather Fields and Happy Bloom in the block.

I hope that you love this collection as much as I do.  I wonder what to make next.

The collection will be available from midnight tonight (1st July 2017) and you can shop it here

Happy sewing!
