Our fabulous sewing friend Tracy is back with another incredible make, and this one is as bold and fun as she is! Tracy is all about vibrant prints and using The Liberty Stage from Liberty’s SS25 150th Retold Collection, she’s created a truly show-stopping outfit that brings this theatrical print to life.
Here’s what Tracy had to say about her latest sewing adventure:
“When I was looking for a pattern for this new crazy liberty fabric, The Liberty Stage, I knew I wanted to showcase it in a way that did it justice. I needed a pattern with minimal seams to keep the print as uninterrupted as possible, so I finally went for a pattern that had been on my to-make list for ages: The Judy Dress by Fibremood. It’s got huge dramatic sleeves, a high waistline, a flowing full skirt, and, of course, pockets! (always need pockets!)”
“I managed to match the skirt fabric to go all the way round, always important to me.. but if you’re short of fabric not to worry, the print is so lively that it works beautifully however you place it.”
“The print is just is great for this pattern, being called The Liberty Stage is so fitting with the over the top sleeves and full skirt dress. I can’t wait to wear this on a hot summer day. And, of course, I’ve kept every last scrap – they’ll be making their way into a quilt soon!”
